Kukhela Mining LDA is an exploration and mining company operating in Mozambique, focused on the development of the Gondola Gold Project located in Manica Province. The company is dedicated to sustainable exploration practices to responsibly develop mineral resources in the region, with a primary focus on gold.
The Gondola Gold Project (License 12611CM) is located in the Gondola District, Manica Province, approximately 45 km east of Gondola town and 65 km east of Chimoio. The project area covers 296.3 hectares (2.963 sq. km), positioned near major infrastructure, including the railway track connecting Beira to Zimbabwe and key highways N1 and N6, providing essential logistical advantages.
Gold mineralization in the Gondola Gold Project is closely associated with sulphide-rich quartz veins within biotite gneiss and granite formations. Visible signs of gold are found in oxidized zones within quartz reefs, with iron oxide, boxwork structures, and traces of pyrite and arsenopyrite. These mineralized quartz bands trend NW-SE and WNW-ESE, aligning with regional structural controls, indicating a favorable environment for both primary gold and associated sulphide mineralization.
The Gondola project area is part of the Manica Province’s greenstone belts, which are an extension of the ancient Zimbabwe Craton. The license area is characterized by migmatites, leucocratic granite gneiss, and granulite, with a strong presence of quartz and sericite. This geological setup suggests high mineral potential, particularly for gold, within the exposed quartz veins and banded rock formations. Historical metamorphism and deformation events have further enriched the area, enhancing it’s prospectively for valuable minerals.
Field Activities (July 2024): Extensive fieldwork included traverses of approximately 3 km within the central region of the license area, focusing on sampling and structural observations. Artisanal Mining: Active artisanal mining was observed, with local miners extracting gold from ferruginous quartz veins in shallow pits, confirming surface mineralization. Sampling: Rock samples from quartz veins, crushed on-site and panned, showed traces of gold and iron oxide. Quartz Veins: Three large pits were excavated along an ENE-WNW direction, revealing quartz veins measuring 0.8 to 1 meter wide, which have been a primary target for artisanal mining.
Proven Gold Potential: Initial fieldwork and artisanal mining activities confirm gold mineralization, lowering early exploration risk. Strategic Location: With excellent access to major highways and railways, the project is ideally situated for both exploration and eventual mining. High Exploration Potential: Covering almost 3 sq. km, the license area offers substantial untapped exploration potential. Geological Advantage: Situated within a greenstone belt and Zimbabwe Craton extension, the project area is geologically favorable for gold discoveries. Immediate Returns: Artisanal gold mining demonstrates the area’s immediate potential, allowing for quick scaling of mining activities.

The Gondola Gold Project offers substantial investment potential due to its confirmed gold mineralization and accessible location. Kukhela Mining LDA seeks funding to expand exploration efforts, particularly in high-priority areas with existing artisanal mining activity, to delineate gold resources more comprehensively. The project’s proximity to key infrastructure and encouraging early-stage exploration results present a promising opportunity for investors.
