What We Do:

Kukhela Mining LDA is a Mozambican exploration company focused on responsible mining and mineral exploration. The company is actively developing the Chapandira Gold Project, located in Gondola District, Manica Province, Mozambique, to tap into the region’s rich mineral potential, particularly for gold.

Project Location

The Chapandira Gold Project (License 11794L) is situated approximately 15 km north of Inchope and 30 km east of Gondola in Manica Province, Mozambique. Covering an area of 18,247.04 hectares (182.47 sq. km), the project site is accessible via secondary roads and is close to major transportation routes, including the N6 highway and a railway line passing through Inchope. The nearest international airport and port are located in Beira, approximately 180 km southeast.

Mineralization Potential:

Gold mineralization within the Chapandira project area is primarily hosted in quartz veins within greenish-grey mica schist, amphibolite gneiss, and carbonate-rich areas. Visible gold is indicated in quartz stringers, iron oxidation zones, and limonite-altered quartz veins. Artisanal mining has targeted alluvial gold in seasonal streams and eluvial soil, as well as primary deposits in quartz-rich pits, where greyish-white quartz veins contain traces of gold. The presence of sericite and limonite alterations within the quartz veins further indicates the potential for primary gold sources in the license area.

Geological Details:

The Chapandira project area is within the Báruè Complex and Chimoio Group, featuring siliciclastic metasediments, felsic biotite gneiss, metagranite, and migmatitic paragneiss from the Mesoproterozoic period, around 1,200 to 1,600 million years old. The geology is marked by NE-SW trending faults and fracture zones, which create conditions favorable for gold mineralization in quartz veins and altered schist formations. Additionally, the presence of the Inchope orthogneiss within the license area points to later phases of metamorphism, enhancing the mineral diversity.

Exploration Highlights:

Field Work (July 2024): The field assessment covered about 4-line km across the northwestern and central-eastern parts of the license area, focusing on rock sampling, structural mapping, and evaluation of artisanal mining sites. Artisanal Mining: Artisanal mining activities were noted, especially in the northwest, where miners target quartz veins in amphibolite gneiss and mica schist. Artisanal washing areas also indicate gold presence in alluvial deposits along slopes and seasonal streams. Rock Sampling: Rock chip samples were collected from quartz veins and weathered schist, revealing iron oxidation and pyrite traces. Mineralized Quartz Veins: Observations of narrow quartz veins (0.3 to 0.6 meters wide) in the northwestern pits show potential for gold, with features like iron oxide, pyrite disseminations, and sericite alteration indicating mineralization.

Positives for Investors:

Established Gold Presence: Artisanal mining activity has confirmed gold in both primary quartz veins and alluvial deposits, reducing exploration risk. Prime Location: Close proximity to essential infrastructure, including roads, rail, and water resources, supports ease of access and operational logistics. Large Exploration Area: The expansive 182.47 sq. km license area offers substantial potential for further discoveries. Diverse Geological Features: The presence of siliciclastic metasediments, gneiss, and granite formations provides a range of mineralization styles and gold-hosting lithologies. Immediate Return Potential: Artisanal mining findings indicate near-surface gold availability, with potential for rapid scaling.

Investment Opportunity:

The Chapandira Gold Project presents a valuable investment opportunity in a region with proven artisanal gold mining activity. Kukhela Mining LDA seeks investment to scale up exploration and conduct deeper trenching to establish the continuity of gold-bearing zones. The favorable geological setting and initial artisanal findings provide a solid foundation for a potentially profitable gold operation.
