What We Do:

Kukhela Mining LDA is leading the development of the Sande Aquamarine Project, located in the Gondola and Nhamatanda districts of the Manica and Sofala Provinces in Central Mozambique. With a focus on the responsible exploration and extraction of valuable minerals, Kukhela Mining is positioning itself as a key player in Mozambique’s growing gemstone and mineral sector.

Project Location

The Sande Aquamarine Project is situated approximately 65 km east of Chimoio city and 40 km northwest of Beira in central Mozambique. The license 12618L spans area of 19,877.58 hectares (198.77 sq. km) and covers parts of both the Gondola district in Manica Province and the Nhamatanda district in Sofala Province. The site benefits from proximity to major roads such as the N1 and N6 highways and access to nearby cities, providing logistical advantages for project development and future operations.

Mineralization Potential:

The project’s field activities have confirmed the presence of aquamarine and tourmaline in pegmatites, with artisanal pits yielding promising results. The exploration highlights indicate both primary and secondary deposits, with aquamarine found in the quartz-rich colluvium zones. Exploration Highlights: The field survey covered 30 km of traverses, focusing on identifying gemstone-rich zones. Artisanal pits have revealed aquamarine crystals ranging from 5mm to 15mm, with tourmaline often found in association, suggesting a significant potential for expanding gemstone recovery. The pegmatite veins range in width from 0.8 to 1 meter and contain coarse mica and tourmaline, hinting at more significant deposits at deeper levels.

Geological Details:

The Sande license area is underlain by felsic biotite gneiss, metagranite, and mica schist, part of the Báruè Complex. These formations have been subjected to high-grade metamorphism and tectonic activity, creating a favorable environment for gemstone formation. The area has a long history of geological activity tied to Mesoproterozoic rock formations, providing excellent conditions for aquamarine and other gemstone deposits.

Positives for Investors:

High-Quality Aquamarine Potential: The presence of light blue aquamarine and tourmaline crystals in artisanal pits indicates strong gemstone potential, which could be scaled with modern mining techniques. Strategic Location: The project is located in central Mozambique, providing easy access to major roads and export routes through Beira port, boosting the commercial appeal of the project. Untapped Exploration Potential: With only initial artisanal mining having taken place, the 19,877.58-hectare license area holds significant unexplored potential, particularly for aquamarine and other gemstones such as garnets. Low-Cost Exploration and Development: The geological formations and artisanal mining results suggest low-cost initial development to delineate aquamarine-rich zones, with further exploration likely to reveal larger deposits.

Investment Opportunity:

Kukhela Mining LDA seeks investment to accelerate the development of the Sande Aquamarine Project. The project offers an exciting opportunity to capitalize on a high- margin gemstone resource in a politically stable and geologically promising region. With early exploration results already confirming aquamarine mineralization and further large- scale deposits anticipated, the Sande Aquamarine Project is poised to deliver significant returns on investment as it transitions into full-scale development.
