What We Do:

MozAustral Import & Export LDA, based in Mozambique, is developing the Natata-Chipembe Ruby & Gold Project in Cabo Delgado Province. The company aims to responsibly explore and exploit mineral resources in one of Mozambique's most promising gemstone and gold regions. This project is focused on both ruby and gold mining, with an emphasis on sustainable practices and long-term value generation for investors.

Project Location

The project is located in Montepuez District, Cabo Delgado Province, and northern Mozambique. The license area covers 185.214 sq. km and is centered near 12°52'17"S, 39°00'23"E. It is situated 30 km north of Montepuez town and is accessible via the Montepuez-Nairoto highway, which passes through the concession. The surrounding infrastructure provides excellent logistical support, including access to national electricity and water supplies, ensuring the feasibility of mining operations.

Geological Details:

The project area is part of the Nairoto Complex, known for its Mesoproterozoic granitic gneisses, which are favorable for hosting ruby and gold mineralization. The area also contains rock formations from the Montepuez Complex, comprising amphibolites, gneisses, and pegmatites. The region is part of the Mozambique Orogenic Belt, which has a long history of gemstone formation. These rocks are highly metamorphosed, showing characteristics of ruby and gold deposits, and are well-suited for further exploration.

Mineralization Potential:

The primary form of mineralization identified in the Natata-Chipembe license area includes: Ruby Mineralization: The area shows both primary and secondary ruby deposits. Primary ruby mineralization is found in amphibolites and weathered rock, while secondary deposits exist in gravel beds along streams. Ruby mineralization is closely associated with pegmatites and quartz veins. Gold Mineralization: Gold mineralization is indicated by sheared ferruginous quartz veins and quartz-feldspathic veins in foliated granite and gneiss. Artisanal pits and stream sediment sampling show the presence of gold in certain areas, particularly in the Namialo area.

Exploration Highlights:

Phase-2 Fieldwork (May-June 2024): This phase included over 100 km of field traverses, auger drilling, and pitting across key areas of the license, including Natata, Ntoro, Namialo, and the SE Block. Auger Drilling: A total of 66 auger holes were drilled, yielding promising results, with gravel beds containing Rhodolite garnets, rubies, sapphires, and tourmalines. Pitting: Extensive pitting in various blocks confirmed pink sapphire findings in the Natata area and garnets in the Ntoro Block. Surface Indications: Transparent Rhodolite garnets and pink sapphire were identified in the Natata block, while artisanal miners reported beryl and rose quartz from other areas within the concession.

Positives for Investors:

Proven Mineral Potential: The project area has already yielded gem-quality rubies and pink sapphires, and extensive auger drilling and pitting have confirmed the presence of high-value Rhodolite garnets. Strategic Location: The project benefits from proximity to critical infrastructure, including roads, electricity, and water, ensuring efficient mining operations and transport of materials. Extensive License Area: With a total of 185.214 sq. km, much of the license remains underexplored, offering additional opportunities for future discoveries. Immediate Results: Artisanal mining has already uncovered rubies and gold in the area, confirming the economic potential of further exploration and development. Diverse Mineralization: In addition to rubies and gold, pegmatites in the area show potential for garnet, beryl, and other gemstones, diversifying revenue streams.

Investment Opportunity:

The Natata-Chipembe Ruby & Gold Project offers significant investment potential, with a proven record of gemstone and gold mineralization in a highly prospective geological setting. MozAustral Import & Export Lda is seeking investment to scale up mechanized mining operations, particularly in areas that have already shown high concentrations of rubies, garnets, and gold.
