What We Do:

MozAustral Mining LDA is an exploration and mining company focused on developing the Inchope Gold Project, located in the Gondola District of Manica Province, Mozambique. The company’s objective is to responsibly explore and harness the region’s potential for gold and associated minerals, with plans to scale operations in line with promising early-stage exploration results.

Project Location

The Inchope Gold Project (License 10292C) is situated in the Gondola District of Manica Province, about 5 kilometers north of Inchope town. The project spans 7,679.31 hectares (76.79 sq. km) and is accessible via National Highway N1 and several unpaved roads. Located approximately 135 km from Beira, the nearest port city, the site is well-positioned for mining activities and material transport.

Geological Details:

The Inchope project area lies within the Báruè Complex, part of the Barue Magmatic Arc (BMA). This region consists primarily of granitic orthogneisses, tonalitic gneisses, and mica schists from the Neoarchean era, intruded by younger pegmatite veins and quartz veins. These formations have been extensively metamorphosed, with evidence of shearing, creating favorable conditions for gold-bearing sulphide mineralization within quartz veins.

Mineralization Potential:

Gold mineralization in the Inchope Gold Project area is associated with sulphide-rich quartz veins within sheared gneiss and mica schist. Surface observations reveal pyrite disseminations, limonitisation, and silicification within these veins. Alluvial deposits in stream beds show potential for placer gold, confirmed by artisanal mining activities and panning tests in stream sediment samples.

Exploration Highlights:

Phase-2 Fieldwork: Conducted from June to July 2024, the team covered over 130 km of traverses and mapping within the project’s North, East, and West Blocks. Gold Indications: Artisanal gold mining was noted along seasonal streams in various blocks, where panning samples revealed visible gold. Geological Features: Major formations observed include mica schists, biotite gneiss, amphibolite gneiss, and granite with quartz and pegmatite veins. Sampling: Rock samples containing pyrite and oxidized quartz veins were collected for further analysis, with recorded gold values between 1.62 and 1.88 g/t in previous explorations.

Positives for Investors:

Established Gold Indications: Both primary and secondary gold mineralization have been identified through artisanal mining and geological sampling. Strategic Location: Accessible from major roads and located near Beira port, the project area supports efficient logistics for exploration and export activities. Large License Area: The 76.79 sq. km license area includes considerable underexplored land, presenting opportunities for new discoveries. Diverse Geological Features: Multiple gold-hosting formations, including mica schists, amphibolite gneiss, and quartz veins, indicate diverse mineralization types. Early Success: Visible gold from artisanal mining activities demonstrates the project’s immediate potential for gold recovery.

Investment Opportunity:

The Inchope Gold Project presents a valuable investment opportunity, with initial exploration indicating the presence of both alluvial and primary gold deposits. MozAustral Mining LDA seeks investment to expand exploration efforts, conduct deeper trenching, and implement mechanized mining operations. The project’s proximity to critical infrastructure and promising early results suggest strong growth potential.
